Salary: Circa £60k – £70k + negotiable package

Role Overview
As a Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of multiple roofing and solar installation contracts across new build residential developments. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of projects, managing subcontractors, liaising with developers, and ensuring high standards of quality and compliance. This role will suit an ambitious and driven individual with a strong background in contract management within new build residential and/or roofing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contracts from pre-start through to completion, overseeing multiple new build housing projects.
- Take responsibility for roofing and solar installation packages, ensuring delivery to programme, quality, and cost targets.
- Develop strong relationships with housebuilders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Lead on subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and cost control.
- Monitor and report on project progress, preparing updates for senior management and clients.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations, NHBC standards, and company procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress meetings.
- Support the growth and roll-out of the Roofing & Solar Division, helping shape future processes and best practice.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Site Manager/Project Manager ready to step up) within new build residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems and/or solar installations desirable.
- Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to cost and programme.
- Excellent subcontractor management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract forms (JCT, NEC, schedules of rates, etc.).
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid preferred.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
